Did you ever do the trust exercises as a kid?
Falling backwards into someones arms- trusting they won’t drop you?
That sick feeling of worry before you let yourself… fall.
That is how I feel this morning.
There is a sum part of the butterflies in my stomach that scream don’t fall- don’t trust- stand on your own ground… don’t risk it.
But if the trust I am residing in is the King of the Universe… who promises to never let us fall.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said,“why did you doubt?”
“Brittany you of little faith- why do you doubt me?”
God speaks to me in verses, quotes from the Bible.
“Brittany, trust me- do not lean on your own understanding”
I choose the less chosen answer… Trust.
It is the hardest thing in the world- probably ranks up there with marathons or something…
If only training yourself to trust God… would also mean I was training to run a marathon 😉
New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]
